For purely sentimental reasons - Starship Trooper. The first song by Yes I ever heard. I remember a party in college where I entered the group by playing air guitar to it. And to think, women still talk to me afterward!-) Man, those were the days...

love both but Starship Trooper's folky break--the loneliness part---going into the follow part going into god Howe's guitar makes it for me---plus Wurm is largely regarded as one of the greatest original guitar solo's.

Although, to be fair to Perpetual Change, I realized I was mentally comparing the studio version of Perpetual Change to all the live versions of Starship Trooper I have heard since - and it's so brilliant live.  Perhaps that is skewing this particular poll?Ermm

Starship Trooper - if only for third Wurm part - especially on 1973 Yessongs concert it's amazing :-)

I really like both tracks, but I think I like Perpetual Change a little bit more.

My favorite from the album though is I've Seen All Good People.
