Summers End XI -  Line Up Now Complete

Hi All

Further news of the eleventh Summers End Festival , which will take place on October 2nd to 4th 2015 at The Drill Hall, Lower Church Street, Chepstow.

We are very pleased to announce the final 6 acts that will make up our hugely international festival this year.  Hero, Sponsor and weekend tickets remain available via:

News of the day splits and day tickets will be announced in April.

We are immensely pleased that Detroit-based Prog legends Discipline have agreed to make their UK debut at Summers End.  Fronted by the charismatic Matthew Parmenter the band have been making music for 25 years , and were a vital part of the 1990s prog revival.   The bands aptly recent live album "This Ones for England" was recorded at Rosfest in 2012.

Magic Pie that ever-popular band from Norway will make a very welcome return to the UK after a gap of 7 years.  The bands fourth studio album "King For A Day" has just been released on Karisma records, and it's an amazing 10 years since their first, "Motions of Desire".  We are thrilled to welcome them to the festival at long last!

We are delighted to welcome Scottish legends Abel Ganz back to the festival after their great set way back in 2008. Following the release of their hugely-acclaimed self titled album in 2014, which added many new ingredients into their melodic prog mix,  the band are on a real high.  This appearance at Summers End is part of a triumphant year that will also include a slot at the prestigious Rosfest Festival in Pennsylvania - which has been running even longer than Summers End!

Credo will make their third appearance at the festival, following great sets in 2006 and 2011.  It's hard to believe that this version of the band (not withstanding a change of drummer) has been with us for 10 years now, having released three albums "Rhetoric", "Against Reason" and the live "This is what we do"  to add to "Field of Vision" from 1994. Expect as entertaining a performance as ever!

A less familiar name may well be Luxembourg's rising stars Light Damage, but rest assured the festival prides itself on helping  discover great new acts, and this great band may well be this year's "find", with their brand of modern prog with the occasional heavy moment.

Last but by no means least, Simon Godfrey, a great friend to the festival, will play a short solo set opening the Friday Night (unless an acoustic stage is possible).  Now resident in the USA, he will need no introduction, with his band Tinyfish having played the festival twice, in 2007 and 2010 and his most recent project Shineback getting rave reviews.

Discipline! Oh hell yes, I've been hoping that they might turn up one year ever since Phideaxe turned uup in 2010 with their bassist as part of the line up.
