Hello everyone ! I'm new to the forum and I'm very glad to be here. I'm Xavier, a drummer, I'm 36 and I live in Paris. I'm the co-composer of a band called Ghost Rhythms, which can be described as an attempt to marry Soft Machine, Magma, Steve Coleman and Bernard Herrmann, plus Genesis, of course, and Pink Floyd, which means a lot of guests and a hell of a wedding dress Star. We exist since 2005. We made three albums, two of them are listenable here :

The last one we made, Madeleine, is out since april 1st and we're very proud of it.
I would be grateful for any reaction to all that music.
My favorite prog album is Foxtrot, and my favorite track is Siberian Kathru. But my heart goes also to Soft Machine vol. 2, and a lot of other things also.
Thanks for your attention !
Xavier

Is the third album still available?

Hi there, thanks for listening and replying, it's a pleasure. And thanks for your kind words ! We released Madeleine a week ago, so this one is available LOL and we only got 9 left of the former album (Sept Cercles), and for both of them coupled we made a price (all that is on the bandcamp page) for celebrating the new and rememoring the old. We also got the first album, Ghost Rhythms, in our bedroom catalogue, we didn't take the time to put it on bandcamp, lazy b*****ds are we, and we give it for free to anyone interested in our music. And to be complete, we have the pianist solo effort, The Lady with the monkey, that you can listen to here :
http://theladywith.bandcamp.com
with some of the "ghosties" playing on it (I did the drums and some guitar, and gave my advices on just about everything even when nobody asked).
I think that's all. Kansas looks like good fun, by the way.

Hi Xavier. Just wanted you to know that I think your album Madeline is the best album I've heard this year (and I've bought 37 so far - mostly jazz). I'm playing it obsessively. Yes, it reminds me of Soft Machine a bit. Your album is like getting onto a train with a steady, driving pulse always going on underneath with various instruments coming in and going out, blending with the pulse. It's quite an extraordinary achievement and I congratulate you all. I hope it's a great success. It certainly deserves to be. Get it out there to as many reviewers as you can, as I think it could catch on. It's something special.

Cheers, Robert M.

Hi Robert M., I saw your comment, and it's really so sweet ! We are very, very honoured ! Thanks a zillion times, really. Smile
I hope it will be a huge success (500 copies sold so far - not bad, but something like 0,2 on the Michael Jackson's success scale), so we'll have enough money to make more discs and tours - and meet you !
