If a Georgian is proud of anything on earth, it's the Georgian, especially musical, folklore. There are numerous traditional bands preserving this huge heritage, but a number of collectives also make efforts to adapt it with Western musical influences. Stumari is among the best in doing so. They came together in early 2000s. Being an acoustic collective (save for occasional electric keyboards), Stumari performs their folk with mesmerizing beauty and with moods quite diverse, from classical to psychedelic.
