Exactly what the subject says. What's your favorite track from each of Yes's studio albums?

There's a couple Yes albums I haven't heard yet, so I'll just include all the albums I own.

Yes - I See You
Time and a Word - The Prophet
The Yes Album - Starship Trooper
Fragile - Roundabout
Close to the Edge - And You and I (tough choice, they are all equally good)
Tales from Topographic Oceans - The Revealing Science of God
Relayer - The Gates of Delirium
Going for the One - Awaken
Tormato - Release, Release
Drama - Machine Messiah
90125 - Leave It
Talk - Endless Dream
The Ladder - Homeworld (The Ladder)
Fly from Here - Into the Storm

Close To The Edge - Siberian Khatru

Oh, golly gee willikers, so am I (about the most predictable choice out of all the Yes catalog; South Side of the Sky is just a little more edgy, wouldn't you think?)!

Because I'm a budget-limited college student who would love to go out and get the other Yes albums at some point, but have a hard time justifying it based on various factors. But posting on PA is free, so I will come and make a list.

I also like making lists, it is something I enjoy doing with the music I enjoy listening to.

And I don't care what the others say, I agree!

I know it was a single and surely got a lot of airplay, but that doesn't mean anything to someone who didn't grow up in the 70's or listen to "Classic Rock" radio.

I have all of their albums up to Big Generator, so I don't know much about their more recent stuff. There are so many excellent songs to choose from, so this is tough.

Yes - Every Little Thing (Best Beatles cover EVAR)
Time and a Word - Then (Hate is the root of cancer)
The Yes Album - Starship Trooper (The instrumental section is one of the group's finest achievements)
Fragile - South Side of the Sky (Wakeman's crowning moment)
Close to the Edge - And You and I (Lovely prog ballad brings a shiver every time)
Tales from Topographic Oceans - The Revealing Science of God (The best of the four epics)
Relayer - The Gates of Delirium (Really grows on you, despite initial awkwardness)
Going for the One - Turn of the Century (The most beautiful song Yes ever conceived)
Tormato - On the Silent Wings of Freedom (Excellent closer on an underrated album)
Drama - Into the Lens (Probably their most underrated song)
90125 - It Can Happen (Cheesy, but I love it)
Big Generator - Shoot High, Aim Low (Majestic. Holy Lamb is also a fantastic track)

Prog On!

^Do you find songs longer than 10 minutes to be pretentious? I'm not criticizing you, but most people would choose Gates for Relayer and you didn't include TFTO & CTTE. (Btw, Sound Chaser is awesome. Glad you chose that one. I can't see anything remotely interesting in To Be Over)

No, I love a lot of songs longer then 10 minutes. Iron Maiden's Rime of the Ancient Mariner, All of Rush's epics, and many more. I love Gates of Delirium, I just wanted to give Sound Chaser some love. Smile As for CTTE, I just found it a bit boring, maybe I need to give it another listen, it's been awhile.
