"Mimetophonic Windows" is the new album from the crossover prog project Purple.  http://www.purplemusic.org" rel="nofollow - http://www.purplemusic.org

Mimetophonic Windows Cover Three years in the making, this is the most personal album yet from Multi-instrumentalist Dan Hodgson. Encompassing many styles, and realised as four 16-minute evolving instrumental tracks, the music covers many styles from rock to folk, jazz, reggae, ambient and electronica. This is "crossover prog" because it has tunes - it harks back to the 1970s - the good old days of pushing the envelope of rock.

Like all of the Purple albums it is free to download and stream through teh project website http://www.purplemusic.org" rel="nofollow - http://www.purplemusic.org

I thought this was Deep Purple at first, which would be very exciting.  This project, however, sounds very interesting and I will have to check out the downstreams on the website.
