If we garner enough support from the groovy folks on this forum, we could call for an immediate addition of the brilliant Kevin Ayers to the Archives! Mr. Ayer's work deserves reappraisal....the fantastic new remasters of his post-Softs solo albums are glowing testimony to his legacy and really should be heard by a much wider audience. If we get enough signatures, they'll have to let him in....we'll use the trusted democratic system to allow our voices to be heard. If this fails, we storm the Archives and take Brian May and Geddy Lee hostage until our demands are met....whateverwebringtheyllsing! ------------- I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there..... |

Yes, only three albums... I'm sure Kevin's late 70s albums, as pop as they were, were no less proggy than Abacab and Invisible Touch! Add 'em all! Give Kevin his due. |

Damn Straight !! Joy of a Toy is BRILLIANT I have been looking at this site for around 2 years, but always restrained myself from getting involved with these topics. More and more positive things need to be said about these wonderful artists and so I shall put in my thoughts !! Better late than never. Looking forward for the inclusion of Hugh Hopper. His collaboration with the late Alan Gowen, entitled 'Two Rainbows Daily' is a treat for the headspace. |
And I adore the beautiful G/F cover. Easily as good as the Softs first album proper.
