A single is out, the titel track. Extremely poppy and kind of 80-ish.

That's good news. I enjoy his material. Probably more than Waters' to be honest.

Initial impressions are not good, to close to About Face style.

The first single blows donkey balls.

Was hoping for more On an Island and The Blue, but instead got more Blue Light. Ugh.

^ Spoilt for so much good sounds, all of yaWink

IMO the single sounds fresh and the guitar kills. Not bad for a seventy year old wise man.

Voice sounds good, less graveled.  Guitar sounds good, as always.  Material... well ...

I'll be at the gig in Florence. I'd love to hear Blue Light performed live. Surely it's not a masterpiece but About Face is an album I couldn't give up to.

Murder is really the only track from that album that I consider top notch. My only complaint is that it ends too abruptly, just when it's getting interesting. Wish it was a 10 min.+ song Big smile

I was able to get a live version of that song that goes on to 8:50 min... and indeed the best part of the solo begins were the studio version ends. He should definitley release that show on CD/DVD (I think it was released on VHS back in the day, I think it was called New Game).

I really enjoyed the unhurried relaxed atmosphere of On An Island.

I guess I'll get round to this new one eventually but I can't say it's high on my list of priorities.

Sounds pretty good (for a 70 year oldTongue).
I'm about the biggest fan of his, but there is just something to his solo output that feels a tad too plodding and tired for me.
I don't think I'll be buying this album, but if he decides to drop by Denmark I'll still be one of the first in line for a ticketApprove

Nice track. I bought the ticket for his gig at September 12, in http://kulturistra.hr/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/pula-arena-istria-croatia.jpg" rel="nofollow - Pula Arena , Istria, Croatia.

Yeah, that's the very version I was talking about. However, as far as I know it's not been released on DVD. Actually, there are some very nice versions of other songs too... near the end is also wonderful, and Run Like Hell is perhaps my favourite live version.
