Hi I am looking for a heavy prog rock band that is not heavy metal.  This band has to be heavy like the very first King Crimson album In the Court of the Crimson King. I don’t want a band like Porcupine tree but a new suggestion to listen to that is heavy like King Crimson that is not heavy metal and is just a rock band any suggestions?

Anekdoten, as Raff mentioned, is a good suggestion. Maybe http://profusion.bandcamp.com/" rel="nofollow - Profusion or Fright Pig may be something for you. Just try.

A lion's share of Leprous album "The Congregation" reminds me of King Crimson.
