I have a week for all...and have to set one day  aside just  for that album LOL  Definite deduction in points coming for lack of succinctness.

I am digging this 2nd album... which I never made it to in the first round.  There is some stuff here (doing a youtube listen so no idea which is what when it comes to individual tracks) which is frickin fantastic.. and though there is some that is merely OK... I haven't really heard anything that sinks the overall experience.

This seems to be the kind of album that needs multiple mulitiple listens to fully grasp.  Much to much for only one sitting.  Halfway through the 2nd album.. then I suppose on to the Anathema album to decide the vote for this one.

on to Anathema

it is a looooooooo....oooooooooong album John LOL Nearly two and half frickin hours.

but it is worth the attempt. Some really great stuff on there.  An album I feel may be worth the time to fully digest.  Hard to judge based on 1.5 listens..  but I liked it.

Two of my favorites out of the polls. Very hard to decide since I dig them both so much, so I asked my wife to pick, thus Judgement it is.

You might try Anathema's second album, The Silent Enigma, Micky. It's got the dark atmosphere of Judgement, probably more so, but has some real fire to go with it, something the band completely lost from Alternative 4 onwards.

Well Anathema are well named for me, I got about half a track in before the cheese factor shut me down. I like Swans quite a lot. They get the vote.

Neither album is a favourite (and that's an understatement), but Swans have the edge in terms of creativity - so Swans it is.
