From Prog Metal Zone:

Brain Connect's sophomore album is a treat for those of you who love early 70's fusion with great songs and impassioned playing and even some gritty Hammond Organ like no one seems to use much anymore. This excellent and very polished album includes several long songs where the band really showcases its excellent metal fusion style.

I'm not sure where to put. In my opinion it's eclectic.
Any suggestions? Embarrassed

LOL! Up Up Up and away!! LOL

This latest one is a really superb album, and although there are jazzy overtones to it I don't really see it as a fit for JR/F. Eclectic would indeed be a possible choice of sub genres, and I presume an evaluation is under way there as we speak (despite the rather brief responses you received to your various 'bumps' Ermm). This outfit might also fit in Heavy Prog though, as well as Crossover. The review of their debut EP 'Get On Time' at http://seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=9867" rel="nofollow - Sea of Tranquility certainly hints toward the heavy end of the spectrum, though they compared some of the tracks with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, and although Steve Vai is in Prog Related, Joe Satriani isn't here. I haven't heard that particular EP myself, so I can't comment, but http://www.backgroundmagazine.nl/CDreviews/BrainConnectTime.html" rel="nofollow - Background Magazine suggest Liquid Tension Experiment as an influence - and they ARE on PA in a proper sub (Prog Metal).

I guess someone with sufficient privileges/status (a Collab or SC) needs to have a wade through the Eclectic team thread and find out what's actually going on... Embarrassed

Edit: The 2010 EP 'Get  On Time' is available to listen to on the band's https://myspace.com/brainconnect/music/album/get-on-time-14392784" rel="nofollow - myspace , so I'll have a listen to it shortly. Smile

I know but you have to be patient since we have a lot of bands to evaluate.
They have one Yes from me for now.

As there have been cases that have been around for a few years, 250 days aren't all that bad. But apparently extremely difficult to make a decision for this case.

It's not a hard case. As I explained before we have a lot of bands on the chart and collaborators busy with their own life, so this could take a lot of time. No need to bump this thread it won't speed up anyhing, if they will be cleared for addition I'll let you know.

Maybe it needs more collaborators?

^ Brain Connect is a similar case as Evership, not exactly neo-prog, much more than that, I would say "yes" only if there's nowhere else to classify them in. I do not know why they keep being tossed all over.
