This is one rare time that I actually vote King Crimson, as Shine On bores me to death.

Pink Floyd easily for me.
But comparing songs with a difference in length of more than 16 minutes is very hard and may be unfair.

Or not. Unless the length is the weightiest decisive factor Stern Smile.

Shine On, easily. And not only because it is thrice as long as In the Court (though the latter is also excellent0.

Though I prefer KC by far in general, in this case it's Shine On (the intro is particularly great). Compared to the other songs on IthCothCK [album], IthCothCK [song] is not that good.

Falling out of it with "In The Court ...". Still digging "Shine On ..., pts. 6-9", so there goes my vote.

''Shine On'' for me, ''Epitaph'' would have been a closer call tho.

Yeah, Epitaph would have been closer for me too... but still Shine On is unbeatable for me.

I love ITCOTCK - Gormenghast on vinyl! Superb mellotron and vocals. But have to go with Shine on You Crazy Diamond here. Floyd's peak and truly iconic.

^'Gormenghast' on vinyl.......how apropos.....one wonders if that's what Sinfield had in mind.
I tried once again reading the first book in the trilogy and only managed to get to page 80.....
Still.....I have to pick KC.....that song and album is even more iconic than Floyd's  'tribute' to Barrett.
