We've all read and laughed at the "how to enjoy progressive rock" article on wikihow, but this just takes the cake...

I present to you: how to write complex prog lyrics!

Bah, that's the old fashioned way. I don't think it's really relevant to nowadays' prog scene, sadly the use of such fine art has decreased

Nowadays bands just use the text of spam emails that end up in your junk folder

These "lyrics" sound more like power/fantasy/epic metal than prog.

It's somehow frustrating to read e. g. Peter Gabriel's lyrics with all their literate puns und humour, or Peter Hammill's frightening existentialist lyrics, and then listen to some ignorant critic claiming that prog is all about hobbits and dragons and so on.

My thoughts exactly. When I was reading the sample lyrics they were writing I kept on thinking "is this guy trying to write a Dragonforce song or what?". LOL

Hi,

If any band wrote what those folks showed you and I, I think we would intentionally poop on the spot and leave!

I actually find stuff like this rather offensive, and I have never met a writer, or artist, or musician that was that vain, vacuous and stupid!

As for humor ... 3rd rate at best! Not even worth the mention!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

I heard a vicious rumour it was taken from an interview with Phil Collins

Phillid is doing the media rounds, so it is safe for all philistines to, once again, lay the blame for all of our ills at his door, once again
