Tigran Hamasyan is an armenian jazz pianist born in Gyumri in 1987. He began to study jazz very early and have also been influenced by Armenian composers and folk. He recorded his first album, World Passion, at the age of 18, and had released several albums like the Fable in 2010, Shadow theater in 2013 or more recently Mockroot in 2015. He had done several collaborations with others artists too, like for example his next colaboration with scandinavian jazz musicians. He's already on our sister site http://www.jazzmusicarchives.com/artist/tigran-hamasyan" rel="nofollow - Jazzmusicarchives , so I expect some of our collaborators will already be familiar with him. The sub genres listed for him on there are: Post Bop, World Fusion, Third Stream, and Post-Fusion Contemporary, but exactly how these might translate to the Jazz Rock/Fusion sub on this site I'm not quite sure...But it's not an area that I'm much of an expert on, so let's wait for someone who is to have a listen - and maybe comment.

| Only one album would fit in PA : Mockroot certainly has a Zheulish feel, but that's not enough for inclusion, IMHO |
