I am big fan of the Trans-Siberian orchestra for their mix of styles and themes.  Does anyone know of any other clean bands that are like them?  I like the mix of metal and jazz and classical- really tasteful.

I am not a big fan of TSO,I think they are sort of cheesy. But a band that mixes the musical styles you listed and do it very well is Adagio, check them out. They are in the archives and there are even a few samples.

TSO are probably quite unique in what they're doing. Adagio are great ... a bit more serious than TSO, and more original, they play their own compositions only.

Thanks for the reccomendation.  I haven't been able to find much on the band (Adagio) themselves.  What do they stand for?  Their lyrics are dark, poetic, and hard to interpret.  Meanings behind the songs are imortant to me, and I prefer Christian themes, or neutral.  Dark or occult ones don't work for me.  Does anyone know the backgrounds and meanings of adagio?

They're not occult or anything ... I'd recommend their current album Underworld, and it deals with a story based on greek mythology. I'd say that from a religious standpoint it is "neutral".

I think anything by Areon can match TSO or his "solo album" Star One.I also am very impressed by TSO and Savatage the most underated prog metal band in the world.
