Dark Heresy were a little known progressive death metal band from England.

They formed in 1989, released a few demos and finally a full length album in 1995 entitled 'Abstract Principles Taken to Their Logical Extremes' (released on the Unisound label).

I think their sound is best described in actually listening to them.

Wow. What a great find! This is really a gem for those that love early-mid 90's avant death metal.

Have you heard the 2nd Carbonized album, Disharmonization? This reminds me quite a bit of them.

Yes, that Carbonized album is quite a sore point for me.
I got it once in a trade and subsequently sold it for next to nothing. I'm still kicking myself for that one.
