I have to go with the obvious pick of Starless but my top 5 would go something like
5. The Night Watch
4. Great Deceiver
3. Fallen Angel
2. Easy Money
1. Starless

RIP John

For me it's between Exiles and Starless but I chose Starless.

Starless, followed by Exiles.

Could have been Lament or One More Red Nightmare, but I went with The Great Deceiver as it had no votes.

Exiles for me. Starless and Fallen Angel are both great Wetton ballads, too, and Easy Money is great for the chant.

It was between Exiles and Night Watch for me. I went with Exiles. Book of Saturdays and Easy Money are honorable mentions, as are all the choices here, really.

RIP? Yes, I'm just learning of this. Indeed, rest in peace

I voted for Starless (the obvious choice) but I have a very soft spot for The Night Watch, Fallen Angel and Exiles

A choice between Starless, Easy Money and Frans Banning Cocq & Co. Today I pick the latter.

It depends if it's as a singer, bass player or both. I will vote for Exiles as both. And I'm also just hearing the sad news, may he Rest In Peace.

If it's just overall song, Starless.

If it's favorite vocal performance...either One More Red Nightmare or The Great Deceiver.

Starless (like it in the Amorata DVD)

Starless is great. It's one of my all-time favorite songs by King Crimson - it's probably my favorite after Epitaph.

But man, the guitar in that piece is great. We're dealing with Robert Fripp and John Wetton, and we're dealing with them at their best.

The number of remixes Crimson members made on Starless are uncountable. But none of them are even close to the level of the original.

And you know what? I'm going to give Starless a listen right now.

Has to be Starless. I had Red on travelling home on the train this afternoon. Damned fine album.

The Night watch is so beautiful, it had to be my choice.
Exiles and Starless are close behind

For me, it's got the be a live version of Starless... it just sounds like the main melody was made to be played by a violin.

Yes. You know, I listened to the album as a whole again last night, and enjoyed every single minute of it, particularly Providence. When I reviewed the album a few years back, I was way too harsh on that track.

Definitely! My favourite KC track.

In this poll it's followed by "Easy Money", "One More Red Nightmare", "Book of Saturdays", "Starless" and "Fallen Angel".

Not a great fan of the Wetton voice, but I do like it on Book of Saturdays. When it comes to his bass playing there are too many brilliant performances to choose from, but I pretty much only listen to live recordings of KC so won't pick a particular studio cut.

I'm torn between Starless and Book of Saturday.  Starless is the classic, with all of it's wonderful chord changes, but I think Book of Saturday is more vocal-centric.  It's a wonderful vocal piece, with interesting lyrics, and not over-shadowed by the band.  Kind of like PF's Wish You Were Here.  I voted for Book of Saturday.
