Review Album:

"Stray bodies get left behind..." so begins Medulla's debut album, "Remnant". This is a conceptual exploration of solitude consisting of five interlocked compositions. The album brings together traditional and progressive approaches to music and story-telling in an attempt to stimulate both the heart and the mind. It's thematic content deals with, among other things, the yearning to reconnect with a world that feels ever more distant. The CD-release includes two bonus tracks which illustrate the group in an earlier, jazzier, experimental stage – still searching, yet inspired.

Actually, this group is not from Russia.

Medulla is a musical project founded in Austin Texas and based in Berlin Germany since 2014. Intent on creating and sharing a musical experience that is truly unique, Medulla writes, records, and performs music of emotional depth and intellectual sophistication. Their performances are theatrical spectacles, meticulously well crafted yet raw, passionate, and energetic. The band's sound has been described as "New Art Rock", "occupying the space between Radiohead and Tool", and "a stronger, more confident and focused Grizzly bear".

Since arriving in Germany, they have developed a following in the Berlin rock scene and were recently featured online by http://berlinlogs.com/" rel="nofollow - BerlinLogs.com. Medulla has played headlining gigs at venues including Mein Haus am See, Dunckerclub and Kreuzberg's Junction Bar while also performing regularly in some of the city's famous squats. In 2016 the band toured the United states and are preparing to release their debut album with a European tour to follow.
