Here we have two songs from 1970 with Jon Anderson: King Crimson's Lizard's "Lizard: a) Prince Rupert Awakes" and Yes' Time and a Word's "Time and a Word".

I chose the track "Time and a Word" because it's the title work of the Time and a Word album for parallelism, because both the Lizard suite and "Time and a Word" finish off both albums, and because the section of "Lizard" called "Prince Rupert Awakes" and "Time and a Word" are almost the same length Time and Word is five seconds shorter, though some might put it that King Crimson's is five seconds too long). I also think both songs work reasonably well together, but Im thinking after typing all of this about changing the Yes song to Then or Everydays. And then, I think there's later Yes stuff that is more in this Lizard vein (from Tales?)

In fact, now I'm thinking that "Starship Trooper" vs. "Lizard" would be a much better poll musically -- maybe at a later date.

So while I now think that this poll wasn't at all well conceived, I'm going to do it anyway.

Far too easy a vote for me too for the "Lizard", I'm afraid, which indicates to me a flawed poll.

I like other songs from Time and a Word
more than the title track

Me too, and I was very tempted to change the song to Then or Everydays from Time and a Word. I should have changed it to this:

No need to rub it in -- pretty much said so myself.

Prince Rupert Awakes, easily. Though I do like Time and a Word... though I like the one on Keys to Ascension much better. I don't know, perhaps Long Distance Runaround would be a good match for this one.

I voted T & W because I felt sorry for it.

I like both very much the same. An iconic song for Yes at the time, and an obscure one for King Crimson, though a great one. I really cannot choose at the moment.

Yes.

The only time it would ever be KC over Yes for me, is with Lark's Tongue vs Tales.

Lizard again. Time and a word really isnīt the best track in that album. But on the other hand any track from that album not goes forward to Lizard.
