with legendary hammond organ and memorable vocalists.

Way too hard to choose. I adore all their albums.

Egg! Kingdom Come is very good, but nowhere near the perfection of the amazing Egg!

Categories strain, crack and sometimes break, under their burden - step out of the space provided.

I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Are we talking of Arthur Brown's KC?

if so, I'll for that... out of three albums two are total classics (GZD and Journey)

The one in-between is no waste of time either - I think it's wackier than GZD

Gotta be Arthur Brown's KC because (I had to look this up on Wikipedia) the German KC has no keyboards in the personnel list.  The Brown KC was really good, and Arthur had some creative thematic ideas, but Egg is one of the most amazing and important prog bands ever.  Their association with Hatfield and the North and National Health alone....
Speaking of Arthur Brown, I saw The Crazy World both at the Atlantic City Pop Festival in '69 and at the Fillmore East May of '68, opening for Jefferson Airplane (1st time I'd seen the Airplane).  I had a seat right on the aisle and Arthur was carried down the aisle from the back of the orchestra by 4 half naked guys, sitting on a gilded platform, with his head already spouting flames.  I swear, Bill Graham's people must have paid off the Fire Marshall.

Wow what an entrance Star. I do love the primitive drum machine on the Journey album.

Just caught Black Mountain's concert last week in Seattle and five minutes before the show,Journey started playing on the PA, then the band came on and while they were getting their gear ready they really looked like they're enjoying what they are hearing, I'm guessing they were familiar with it. I always thought it was quite an original album, brilliant imo.
So here's another vote for Kingdom Come.

While I like the rampant crazy prog  of Kingdom Come.....Egg is one of my all time favorite Canterbury bands......
Egg it is!
