Which of these singular releases of Canterbury scene do you like the most. Two amazing and adventurous albums to loos your mind in the dasselinh display of music.

For some reason (and I am a huge fan of the Canterbury scene), Space Shanty does little for me despite the Hillage/Stewart combination - can't put my finger on it but I understand the love for this album. Arzachel feels more spontaneous...

Man, side 2 of the Arzachel album is noisy...... I've maybe listened to this about 2 dozen times in the 15 or so years I've had this LP. Listened to Khan maybe 100 times (or more) in the 20 years I've had this gem.

Arzachel is under-rated and Space Shanty is over-rated, but Khan was still slightly better.

Arzachel. Azatoth is absolutely the best Lovecraft-inspired song ever written

I'm surprised Arzachel got 9 votes.....it's a fun relic from the old days but Khan's Space Shanty is far superior in all ways.

Nick Greenwood's bass lines - exquisite. Some of Dave's best organ work too.

Both sounds a bit dated to me, but they're not without their charms.

| Yeah, I agree, Space Shanty sounds more polished, and in this instance it works in its favour.
