Genesis. Trick is better than anything that came after, but well below their peak.
Nothing Queen did after A Night at the Opera interests me at all. Almost everything before is brilliant.

I completely lost interest in Queen after Night at the Opera, but I didn't lose interest in Genesis until after Wind and Wuthering. So there you have it.

A Trick of the Tail is legendary. A Day at the Races is a boring continuation of an overrated album. Not a fan.

Both great albums of very different styles: A Trick of the Tail is a brilliant symphonic prog album and A Day at the Races is one refined prog related album with some fantastic tracks as for instance "Tie your Mother Down" a heavy rock song, "You Take my Breath Away" a very bucolic theme and "Somebody to Love" and the beautiful choir ! My vote goes to Genesis due my preference of symphonic-prog style !!!

Yeah man! ... it's all about the good Ol' Rock.... and its fire and fun that never boils down to that serious pfffff that just everything 70's Genesis screams in my book......

Genesis without a doubt. I like A Day At The Races, but after that, Queen went down the drain for me, and I never really liked anything they did.

As is reflected in the results so far, there is not the slightest sign of contest to be found here.

Races was ok, very skilled band but a bit short on really great ideas. Unlike Trick which has them to the brink.

Genesis. Trick is among my favourite albums of all time and Genesis are my all time favourite band.
I like A Day at the Races, but it's not among my favourite Queen albums.

Trick is better than lamb and England. Queen are sh*t
------------- All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Queen were not sh*t, even objectively speaking. They were demonstrably a very skilled, creative and highly original rock band.

A clash, alright - one that should never have happened.

Trick easily. ADATR is an ok album at most. It's hard for me to respect Queen, though. Hot Space, The Game and A Kind of Magic feature some of the things I hate the most in music...and the opening of News of the World with two boring and repetitive arena rock stinkers like We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions makes me cringe. A really uneven band with very, very few flashes of brilliance hidden inside a pile of crap.
------------- Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Well, I love Queen (in 70's they were great whoever thinks otherwise), but ADATR are IMO a slight regress comparing to the first four albums (have to say I like NOTW a Jazz mote than ADATR). So Genesis gets my vote. If there'd be any from Queen's first four records in this poll, I'd vote Queen for sure.

easily Genesis. The only Queen album I really like is A Night at the Opera, and it's not as good as ATOTT either
