I'm searching for bands with medieval influences. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking for stuff like Wobbler's Afterglow album (songs like Interlude, The Haywain, Armoury, In Taberna)

For metal with medieval influences (and some prog elements), there's Rhapsody (of Fire). For classic prog, there would be Focus... though that's only for some selected pieces (mostly on the Hamburger Concerto album, I think). But if I want something particularly medieval sounding, I'll go with Rhapsody.

Best example I know is Kay Hoffman's Floret Silva, a concept album based on the 13th century Carmina Burana manuscript.

It's rad.

Frithu is the second album by Afforested, a British folk-prog duo based in Kent. It was self-released in 2016 and confirms all the good qualities of their debut from 2012Surviving Remnants Of The Medieval Greenwood. While their previous work was completely instrumental, the new album features some vocal parts that provide evocative images to the musical stories told by the band. The music and lyrics were inspired by the ancient woods and forests of England with their imagery of wildlife and uncontaminated nature. You can listen fragments of fascinating folk tales and dream of outlaws and rebels, kings and warriors moving around in the mist of time... Acoustic and electric parts are perfectly intertwined to create a magical, pastoral atmosphere and if you like bands such as Gryphon or Amazing Blondel I'm sure you'll love this album as well.

Uncle Meat by Zappa. Also, Inferno by Metamorfosi gives me a Medieval-vibe.

Pekka Pohjola's debut feels a little chamber.. Maybe that's just me.

The obvious choice would be Gentle Giant. Some Jethro Tull stuff too.

Classical music isn't dead, it's more alive than it's ever been. It's just not on MTV.

The Amazing Blondel might be worth looking into. They were an English band from the early seventies.

seconded.  Otherwise might be the German prog folk band FAUN, Italy's CORDE OBLIQUE, France's MALICORNE, even US's WOVEN HAND, specifically their album "Mosaic".  Also from Italy, OLOFERNE's first album.

Great suggestions with Amazing Blondel, Gryphon (first three albums are have stronger medieval/Renaissance flavor) and Malicorne (ex. Almanach and Bestiare).

If you don't mind saccharine female vocals and occasional electric guitar, I would also recommend Blackmore's Night. The first two albums are a good place to start with.

I also recommend French band Tri Yann's Portraits (Celtic rock, but with folk and medieval influences).

Circulus (mentioned above) is an amazing British folk/psychedelic band. A great pity they aren't so active any more.
Also, this thread is amazing too Clap

This could perhaps quality, one that's become so special to be over the last year, prog-folk French band Asgard's second album `Tradition & Renouveau' from 1978. It was a kind of half-hearted blind-buy that backfired in the best possible way and became a pretty precious part of my collection!

I do have a question for anyone that knows the band/album...Is their earlier debut good as well? I know that it's meant to be a purer folk album, but just wondering if it is also worth looking into. I greatly enjoyed the singing on this second one too, so I'll admit I'm very curious if the first one is also recommended?
