its a nice album by hacket by whole too, is someone knows who plays the synth ? and even more with what synth he used to play that part?

All I know Is that Nick Magnus was the keyboard player of the Steve Hackett Band around the time the song was released, I'm quite sure he was playing keyboards during the recording sessions, but I could be wrong.

It was Nick Magnus - although Hackett was using his guitar synth a lot as well around that time (probably not for the sound on that track)

Just dug out my LP of SM - I'm going with the RMI for that 'steel-drum' sound, followed by a mini-moog solo. Quirky song. Not one of my favourites from Steve.
