Long-time prog fan, since I was a kid, really.  I'm 50 now, but back in the early 1970's - I had older siblings who were constantly spinning Tull, ELP, Mike Oldfield, Yes, etc. on the stereo, so I developed a taste for all that stuff pretty early on.

In the late '70's and early '80's I went through a huge electronic phase, getting into Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jarre, Kraftwerk, Klaus Schulze (and many others) - a love affair which lasts to this day.

I turned my high school sweetheart on to all of this stuff, and she really got into it.  We split up for a while, but eventually got back together and married (now my wife of 25 years)... she got even deeper into prog while we spent those few years apart, so we spent our honeymoon unpacking boxes in our living room, turning each other on to different albums in our collections (she had owned a prog rock record store for a couple of years), smoking pot, and...

Anyway, I may not stay around the forum for very long, I get tired of computers and tech stuff pretty quick.  Fun to chat about good music, though.

That honestly sounds like the most fun ever. Big welcome to you.

Yeah, it was fun!  :)  I remember she played Gong's Flying Teapot for me, with a big gleam in her eye.
