Eloy a smidge over ELP for me. ELO are a few rungs down from the others. Still, a very good band (first 4 albums mainly). |

ELP for me...I love the first 4 Eloy albums but not much after that. Eloy over ELP, as I really only like ELP through "Welcome Back" but Eloy have made MANY albums I love. ELO never really did it for me, other than an occasional song or two. ------------- PROGMATIC |

ELP, followed by ELO, of those listed. As for other "E" bands that aren't too shabby, there's also: Earth & Fire East of Eden Ekseption Embryo (The) Enid Et Cetera ------------- when i was a kid a doller was worth ten dollers - now a doller couldnt even buy you fifty cents |

I forgot about Echolyn and Egg. Those are up there after the ones I listed. I couldn't list every E band of course. Thanks for mentioning some others like Earth and Fire, Ekseption etc. I voted for ELP. Eloy are great too. ELO is good but I enjoy the other two more.

I'm voting other for Eskaton, and Eider Stellaire is another Zeuhl band I love. Also love Embryo and Elektriktus. This is not easy... As a teenager in the early 80's I discovered ELO and they were one of my favorites. In the 90's Eloy became one of the bands I most listened to. Still love Inside, Floating, Power and the passion... Vote: Eloy +1 Someone mencioned East of Eden, which is also a great great E band.

ELP are from England though. ;) Anyway, Easter Island are good. Very under rated band but I only know their one album from the seventies.

Eloy out of these the first E band that popped in my head was Enchant.  also Earth & Fire was great early on, up until '73.

Indeed Eloy and ELP, despite not really being among my favourite bands, are the best E-bands listed on Progarchives for me (can do easily without ELO). I vote Eloy for somewhat nostalgic reasons. |

| Eno jumps out to me in the E canon, Echolyn and Eloy I love as new groups I've discovered lately, ELP can be bottled well with 'Welcome Back' 3 album set pretty much, the first 4 ELO albums are special to me. |
