My pick is Pet Sounds easily.

What you'll say?

Revolver because it was a tactical warm-up for what came next. Pet Sounds is beautiful though.

Revolver. It simply is a better album and farther reaching than Pet Sounds.

Revolver is a better collection of songs and a crucial transformation for them, but Pet Sounds is sublime and in certain ways more influential.

When the Beatles went into the studio to record Sgt. Pepper's they wanted to make an album as good as Pet Sounds.  I don't think they quite succeeded.  Although I listen to Revolver more often, my vote goes to the Beach Boys here.

Agreed. Revolver indeed is the better of both albums.

Well, I think they succeeded alright because Brian Wilson had a mental breakdown trying to match/outdo Revolver in his next album, Smile.

If Tomorrow Never Knows came out today, it would still sound fresh and even progressive (in its truest sense).
Genius piece of music. Ringo totally smashes it (he didn't do it that often). The rest of Revolver is easily good enough to win this.

I will never understand why so many people love The Beach Boys.

But that's just me.

Vote happily goes to Revolver!!!

Pet Sounds is good, mostly very good, but Revolver is a masterpiece.

I absolutely adore bits and pieces off Pet Sounds but I think I respect the album more than I actually like it. I certainly don't play it very often. It also sounds terribly dated to these ears whereas Revolver remains fresh as ever - hell it could be a recent Tame Impala release.

Pet Sounds always makes me close my eyes and drift into another world.  Revolver is a fun listen, but Pet Sounds puts me somewhere else.  I like that.  So Pet Sounds for me.
