Wavesign

Although difficult to categorize, Eclectic Progressive Rock/Metal is maybe the most accurate subgenre to place their music on.

Bio

Wavesign is a 4-piece prog outfit based on Santiago, Chile, born in 2013 from the ashes of a former project founding members Miguel Sepúlveda and Jaime Cid had begun in 2010. After a 1-year-and-a-half long hiatus  due to the departure of their former keyboardist and drummer, the arrival of Mario Matamala in drums in late 2012 and Cristian Vega in keyboards and synthesizers some months later put Wavesign back on the road, starting to create new arrangements for the former compositions as to merge the many influences from both new and founding members to create new musical expressions.

After a long 2-year process, the band finally releases their first single "A Life Recalled", an indie production well regarded at music enthusiasts' networks such as Soundcloud. A year later, a second single, "New Dawn", is released, showing a more characteristic "persona", helping them stand out within a wider, international prog scene.

Influenced by the beauty of the south of the world, Wavesign`s music aims to create vast and colorful soundscapes, through storytelling-like songs that explore the depths of human nature. Their music showcases a balanced yet solid, multilayered blend of modern and classic influences, ranging from straightforward classic rock to dynamic jazz/fusion elements, inspired by topics such as humankind and its complex nature and place in the world. Fans of Riverside, Porcupine Tree, Katatonia, Opeth, Pain of Salvation and the likes will find a great place to place both their ears and their senses.

Still under evaluation with the eclectic prog team. No votes cast just yet, but please be patient as this is a pretty busy time of year, so we don't always have a lot of extra time to work on evaluations. Smile
