Hi, I recently joined PA and discovered that my privileges do not include either creating polls or even voting in them. I'm guessing that is because I haven't posted enough or been here long enough. However, I'm curious about why the restriction exists and the details about how members get those privileges.

Yes, you need to post a bit more. I believe it's simply a trial period so a new member doesn't carpet-bomb the place without a few establishing posts or a 'Hi everyone' greeting.

Don't quote me, but I think after 25 posts your vetted and can vote. Until then, you can comment on polls and cast your vote that way.

You need 40 points to be cranked up to a Forum Groupie and obtain voting privilege:- Posting in an existing thread adds 1 point.
- Starting a new thread adds 2 points.
