Out of these 7 heavyweight Zappa solos, which one is your personal favorite? I avoided instrumentals for this list because Black Napkins and Watermelon in Easter Hay probably would have swept the floor with the other solos. I've got to go with Zomby Woof on this one, with Inca Roads and Uncle Remus right behind, but all of these are stellar.

Definitely some great solos on this list, but I have to go with Inca Roads.  Good idea to leave off the instrumentals too, because they always seem to win.  The ones on this list are probably his best guitar solos featured on non-instrumental tracks.  Great poll!

"Willie the Pimp" gets my vote.  But "Montana" is a close second.

Lots of great versions of these tunes, with equally (or more) excellent solos, on his live albums.

The solo on Inca Roads is from the live version on the Helsinki Concert/YCDTOS#2 - he edited the live solo it into the studio recording. I actually prefer the song entirely live.

For me it's Montana barely ahead of Willie the Pimp. He's such a genius though, all of his solos are great to my ears.

Zomby Woof must have one of the most creative solos I´ve ever heard.

Inca Roads for me. The atmosphere (and production) on that one always pulls me in. The entire song is fantastic (and Ruth)!
