There was a band I remember listening to years ago I believe they were 70's jazz fusion/prog rock possibly German and the album had a cartoon gorilla on the cover and I cannot for the life of me remember the band name. I know it's not much to go on but if anyone knows what I'm thinking of, you would absolutely save my life.

What comes to mind for me is the 1974 self titled album by German jazz rock band Missus Beastly. It does, indeed, have a cartoon gorilla on the cover.
