Two German acts whom are not really krautrock but more symphonic and heavy space rock.
Which is more close to your heart?

Eloy's closer to my heart.

I do like Triumvirat though, their works in their first 5 years are great.

Inside and Floating is where ELOY had that Krautrock spirit happening.

ELOY.

I do like T'rat, but Eloy have one superb album after another...and that includes their latest one.

Like both bands, but Triumvirat has 3 essential albuns on follow: Illusions (1973) Spartacus (1975) and Old Loves Die Hard (1976) and this later one topped the charts sales to number 1 here in Portugal at the time! :)

I voted for Eloy. I lean toward them to a large extent because I respond well to more guitar centered groups. I also adore the spacey atmospheres they create.

Eloy.  Spartacus & Double Dimple are very cool but I like more Eloy albums than T-rat.

More or less a tie, but I should give the edge to Triumvirat. Illusions on a Double Dimple is the best German prog album outside the Progressive Electronic domain.

Never really "got" Eloy...so Triumvirat gets my vote.

Two groups I probably don't know as well as I should.  Based on my limited exposure, I have to say Eloy suits me better, although I do like Trimvarat.

Triumvirat
Eloy is good, but a bit outdated now

Yeah, these two are my favs! And then came the more Floyd influenced period, also good.
Triumvirat did some fine albums, but Eloy gets the vote here.

I love Inside but never really got Floating for some reason.  Dawn and Ocean are great.  I also love the threesome of Colours, Planets and Time to Turn, a remarkable set of albums from 1980-1982.

I like both bands, but Eloy just gets the edge for me. They released some great albums right into the 80's.

I personally enjoy Eloy more.

Seemed to have missed this poll the first time round. Probably an unfair comparison as Triumvirat didn't last that long which is a shame as Jurgen Fritz is massively talented. I like his solo album Hard To Be A God and perhaps he could have done more. Eloy , as mentioned, made good/great albums right into the 80's but also well beyond. There are some stinkers like Ra but generally most of their output stands. If you were to pitch their generally highest rated albums against each other then it may be more interesting ( I will do this) but for the sake of this poll I go for Eloy.

Love both bands, but Eloy has a longer discography of quality albums. If Triumvirat continued what they were doing in their prime for another 30 years, then we'd have closer match-up here. I feel somewhat algebraic today.
