Paladin Charge! is the best by far of any progressive rock band that I have ever heard. Not just because I recently started up a website for one of Paladin's band members, Peter Beckett, but because I can't stop listening to this awesome piece of work. It is every kind of music rolled into one with superb musicians, singers, songwriters. On Peter's website, known for his part also in the bands Skyband, Player, Think Out Loud, Little River Band, World Of Oz, and The Thoughts, there is a page about Paladin. Check it out at http://www.peterbeckett-player.com - www.peterbeckett-player.com .

Certainly a wonderful album Flameofnj, complete with a superb Roger Dean sleeve. Paladin are of course included on this site.

I was always intrigued by the apparent late inclulsion of the track "Anyway" on the album. On the LP version I have, the track is added in the form of a sticker on the sleeve.

What did you think of their first album. Personally, I thought it came nowhere near to "Charge".

Welcome to this site by the way!

I know what you are saying about the first PALADIN album. I hardly play it, yet I am wearing out CHARGE! I really need to recopy it to be safe. I found it on ebay but it took me 6 months as someone always outbid me on it. Everyone seems to want it. I also have their JAZZATTACK cd, but CHARGE! is my favorite. Peter Beckett sang lead vocal on a few songs and wrote a few. He is still an unbelievable talent today. I've been trying to track down the other members for my website. I found Pete Solley so far. He has his own production company in England. I found out there are tapes of PALADIN playing live that were never released from the BBC. I would love to see these. That would be such a thrill! Maybe someday! When I get time, I'd like to contact someone about it. Meanwhile, check out the website and sign the guestbook, tell Peter how much you like CHARGE! I'm waiting on his email soon. http://www.peterbeckett-player.com - www.peterbeckett-player.com
