Speaking of bands that we don't jive with... Krallice is that band for me. Don't know why, but I've yet to be enthralled by anything I've heard from them. Arctopus I like though. Walt is an insane drummer. I think he’d have a hard time playing a straight beat  I’m not a big fan of the Black Metal styling, but Krallice mix it up enough to my ears that I just get lost in their music - it’s hypnotic, and almost some sort of Brutal Ambient kind of thing. |

^ maybe soul was the wrong word. I can't really explain why Krallice doesn't work. I love all forms of extreme music but something about their particular mix of things more often sounds generic than innovative. The comps are usually fairly boring as they don't have any creativity. | Krallice has this hypnotic edge which I get lost in easily. They don’t sound that menacing either, except perhaps when Nick growls, but these guys can keep me comfortably at the edge of my seat. I do like Geryon more though. Nick and Lev, what a duo. |
