Gravity Stone are a 5 piece all original Progressive Rock/ Metal band from Western Sydney that have often been described as Pink Floyd on steroids and are guaranteed to leave you wanting more!

In 2017, Gravity Stone started off as a 3 piece with Lead Singer/Guitarist Daniel Osborne, Bass Player Rory Moylan and Drummer Harry Xirocostas. In 2018, Robbie Cotterell joined the band as the Lead Guitarist and Backing Vocalist. Then in early 2019 Keyboardist Matt Bryant joined the band as the fifth member.

Gravity Stone’s live performances have often been described by many as confident, fun, fast, well delivered, energetic and having a unique style of high quality original music with well thought out layering of instruments. Many of the Gravity Stone members are multi instrumentalists and have been individually influenced by many different artists over the years from bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Gojira, Genesis, Dream Theater, Opeth, Rush, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince and Nirvana. They have come together with all their musical abilities and experience to pursue their passion for Progressive Rock. Judges feedback from previous contests have described Gravity Stone as having “Well delivered dynamic performances and are very entertaining” also mentioning “ The stage is used entirely by all musicians along with being well prepared, good technical abilities, great interaction while playing and encourages audience participation as well as their own interaction between players”.

Gravity Stone have been together for 2 years and have been quite successful during that time. Career highlights include participating in YouthRock, winning the Penrith’s battle of the bands as well as the Illawarra Music Foundry’s battle of the bands, being selected to headline the local Campbelltown Fishers Ghost Festival and now leading onto other events such as headlining the Sunset Sounds rock edition for Youthweek. Gravity Stone have written and recorded 5 songs for their ‘ Unfurled’ EP and have also written many more for a follow up album in the works.
