Having issues rating certain bands discographies. Some bands will have my ratings appear and let me rate them based on stars just fine while others will not. It has been pretty frustrating and was wondering if anyone else was having this issue and when/if it will be fixed.

At the moment it seems no one has the ability to solve it - but for an eventual future repair it would be useful if you reported here the affected bands (and hope M@x addresses this ... soon)

It seems to be a "security" issue.

I mean "https" vs "http"... or something.

When I do not see star ratings, I can click on the shield icon at the right of the address bar in my web browser, I choose "Load unsafe script" then I can see star ratings...

^ Hummm - that doesn't work for me (at least the one I checked)
Again, could you please specify which page you tested this way (maybe valuable for a proof of concept)

Now I see, thanks !

(same here with Firefox 67 - removing protection on the page does the trick Wacko)

Most browsers these days are preventing scripts of executing from http sources. The only solution is to change PA to https but only M@x can do that.

^ Could you elaborate, I see the main DB pages with https (albeit not the forum)

The site is still in http, you can see it with https but it doesn't have a certificate. With https, the browser won't execute the internal http scripts. For me it works fine with http.

Even more confused - now I notice, as you mentioned, some pages have http and others  https Wacko

(better leave it to the real experts to figure this out, I surely am not one)

Solved for me maybe.
Having similar issue, having trouble rating i believe lonely robot and damanek recently, maybe bad dreams on chrome. No star rating options.

I logged into firefox, same problem.

Just as an experiment, i removed the https part from the url and just reloaded it as www...
(not sure if allowed to post links) the album page

was able to rate both damanek albums it seems.

Test Part 2:
it seems going back to main page and then the lonely robot discography, it insists it is http(s) and it fails to load the rating script thing again. Removed the http(s), and voila. I can rate again!

I'm having that problem on chrome, on every computer I use now! All bands!
How can I solve this? How to shift from http to www or how to unsecure the page:

Thank you

http = hypertext transfer protocol
https = hypertext transfer protocol secure

some difference occurs if you use this page with the leading http
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=1516" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=1516

or that with the leading https
https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=1516" rel="nofollow - https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=1516

a security restriction most probably
don't know why exactly, but it has effect on the visibility of the star rating for example
tested in Firefox, Chrome, Brave, Opera, Microsoft Edge

just try to type http:// before the address and check it again
