An 8 cut album would have been perfect. To be honest your list could have easily been my list. All great stuff. I probably should have picked the Voice for LDV since that's not just probably the best track on that album but one of their best ever.

I knew there was a Make Your Own Moody Blues Album thread out there somewhere in the forum archives and I just found it. I'm really looking forward to collecting together my favourite eight songs from eight albums for my ideal Moody Blues compilation and I have a friend who'll enjoy taking part in this fun thread too.

You can probably tell from my selections that I prefer the Moody Blues moody mellower numbers. I could have easily made it a double album if I'd cherry-picked my favourite songs from the Moodies entire back-catalogue of albums, but then again, I could always put together a Best of Moody Blues II compilation, featuring the best songs from their later albums, starting with Long Distance Voyager.
