Here we go - choose the option that you can agree with the most. Edit: choose the love/hate options only if you're really passionate about Tool - I love them, and that being the case it's entirely possible that I look at them through "rose tinted glasses" (if that's the correct expression). that was my problem with lateralus, it was so boring at first i eventually got into it and now im fine with it, its alright ------------- how can this mean anything to me? when i really dont feel a thing at all |

But that's how I feel about Tool overall, not just Laterlus Tool is ok, I guess, but definitely not one of the best Prog bands out there.. |

Love Tool realy bad. As I see their one of the bands you either hate or love, however I thought that those who hated them in the PA would be more. Happy from the current result. -------------

My absolutely favorite band, so naturaly I love them. Though again one of those bands, which aren't really for everyone. |

| I like Tool. I think Opiate and Undertow are decent rock albums. I think Ænima and Lateralus are pretty good prog albums. I don't believe that they deserve any spot in the top 100 albums, though. |

I love Tool, and i think they are quite underrated by many prog fans. (well maybe not by Jody). I think many progressive fans of Tool do not acknowledge the great creativity and rythmnic complexity this band has. They also have a sound that was for so long all of their own, listening to Tool is a different musical experience. -------------

Love them. One of the biggest disappointments of my life was having tickets to a concert they were going to play in Norway and the show got cancelled only a couple of days before the event due to sickness of some kind (not really sure about the details) ------------- With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince. With science, you can turn a frog into a Ph.D. and you still have the frog you started with. |

I love them.I even love all there amusing and quirky album fillers as well.I think a lot of people don't get this bands sense of humour.Oh to have been in the US when King Crimson were Tool's support act!What a show that would have been. |

Love them. Maynard makes me want to learn to sing. I have thoughts that
I want to express through music, and Tool certain give me inspiration
to do that.

well I like Tool but I don`t love them , In a way I think due to their popularity its good they get branded as progressive as some of the non progressive fans may spill this way. |

I don't really like them, but I've only heard a few songs. From what I've heard, they just repeat the same riff a lot of the time. However, I love the first 11 seconds of Schism.(I'm not kidding). It's a cool expressive little bass riff. -------------

I used to like em, and listen to them, but i never used to really be super into them.
However, now I LOVE THEM!!!! I'm playing a tribute show on friday, and each band gets to pick a band to tribute, and we're playing tool! here's the setlist: 1. Aenema 2. Part of Me 3. Schism 4. Ticks and Leeches/Third Eye They are in the top 10 list for me! | My favourite band ever, although it took me a while to get into them. Lateralus is probably my favourite album of all time, listened to it everyday for about 5 months when it first came out. I'd say Tool and the Mars Volta are my two favourite 'modern' prog bands. |
