Two albums from 1975. Both are often considered to be arguably the best solo albums by these musicians. THe interesting thing is they both played together later on but I didn't include Squackett here. Would that really have gotten any votes anyway? Lol.

I vote for Fish, as I prefer Squire's vocals. Both are amazing albums.

Chris and the Fish. Best solo effort of the Yes bunch IMHO.

Yeah, that's a really good one. I like the first three RW albums a lot. My favorite of his would be King Arthur though. My favorite Yes solo is probably Olias however although FooW is indeed very good.

Really tough choice, but I have to go with VOTA as one of the greatest albums ever.
And yes (no pun intended), Squackett was disappointing.

I've only heard Acolyte which is an absolute classic , well up there with even the best Genesis albums imo. If Fish Out Of Water is beating it then I need to check that out!

the "both " option makes things easy. I like them both so just the two of them (in the poll) would have been a tough choice poll.

Unlike those who create other polls on here I don't believe in backing people into a corner and forcing them to vote for something that is against what their gut tells them. Sometimes we can't chose one over the other and there should almost always be an option for that.

This was the first time I realized that Chris could actually sing lead. I voted for Fish over Acolyte, even though Hackett's debut is a very strong piece. I still listen to both quite often.

Nonsense! Nobody is forced to vote anyway; if you can't decide and there is no "both" option then just don't vote!
(Obviously do your polls however you want, but the real polling fun is not in sitting on the fence! )
PS: I voted Hackett, although there's a good handful of his albums that I like more than Acolyte. As much as I love Squire as bassist, I couldn't get into the Fish.

Both albums are essential. Both albums should be in everyone's collection, even if you're not a Yes or Genesis fan. They're two of the best prog rock albums ever recorded.
I should vote "equally" but I am going to throw a vote to FOoW to honor Chris and because it does resonate with me on a slighter greater level. It deserves the highest rating possible.
Voyage is tremendous. I honestly like it more than nearly everything Genesis recorded as a band (sorry). The opener "Ace of Wands" still blows me away.

Maybe not forced(in the strictest sense) but the fact is they are prevented from voting if there is no both option.

FOWW is winning so far which kind of surprises me but then again I don't think any tv shows had any songs from Voyage of the Acolyte playing in them.

Two albums that I love dearly. I'll go with Voyage, but Fish is just as good, it's mainly the personal memories I have that make me vote for Voyage.

Voyage for me, easily. Just Shadow of the Hierophant is enough to make me vote for it, but then I do enjoy the rest of the album more, too.

For me, my favourite is Myths and Legends, closely followed by 6 Wives. If it had been any of those against Voyage, I would certainly have voted for Wakeman (or at least Myths and Legends very easily, and 6 Wives would have given me a harder time choosing). Still, if it had been against any of those Wakeman albums, surely Voyage would have won without doubt the poll.

Nope although I've just ordered the re-issue (CD + DVD) set on the basis that there is obviously a very large hole in my collection!

Six Wives and Myths and Legends are both flawless albums although my favourite Wakeman track is Judas Iscariot . Criminal Record would have been his best album but for The Breathalyser imo.

Gave the vote to Steve, although I, like almost everyone else commenting, truly enjoy both albums. I listen to FOoW more but that is largely because I have Voyage on lp, and I rarely listen to those now, and Fish is digital. I like the sound quality on Fish better but the music on Acolyte is just that much more stunning.

Yeah, Judas and Criminal Record are amazing as well. I wouldn't say that my favourites, but up there among them for sure. And I do agree with The Breathalizer putting down that album too.

Criminal Record is a good album but No Earthly Connection is epic. I agree that Judas is one of the best Rick's tracks. Anyway Fish is the best solo album of a YES member, IMO

I'm not really that fond of No Earthly Connection... the musical ideas are to dispersed for me. However, even though I usually hate Medleys, I love the shorter live version on "Out of the Blue"... it really picks the best of the song/album and puts it in a single shorter song. As for Fish out of Water, there's something that doesn't fully work for me from it... there are many Wakeman solo albums I like much better.

I haven't heard both albums so no official vote. Squackett was a genuinely nice album, btw. Also, Voyage is actually not my favorite Hackett album or even my second, but it's up there. Spectral Mornings > Momentum > To Watch the Storms > Guitar Noir > Defector > Voyage (on this day, anyway).

Well I've finally got to hear Fish Out Of Water . On first impression it's very original and uses different instrumentation to that used in Yes. It's certainly very interesting although whether I would consider it to be on the same level of Acolyte , only time will tell. Nice addition to my collection though.
