We're talking about reunions for ONE CONCERT or, at most, a Mini Tour.
Of course it'd be nice to see true comebacks and new material released, but I doubt any of it will happen ^^

If you have spare time you could rank those reunions from MOST to LEAST likely. When it comes to Yes, you could treat it any way you wish (either one of them, or both).

To be honest, I don't follow much of the rumours and chitchat about who fell out with whom for what reason, on what terms they are now etc., so I'm not the right person to answer this question. Reunions may happen or not and I'll find out early enough... What I find more interesting is the question which reunion of these I'd most like to see, and that's clearly KC & Belew, and that may not be sooooo unlikely! (No vote though.)

^That sounds like the only one of these that has even the slightest possibility of happening.

Hi,

The only reunion, that EVER, would be worth it for me, would have to be THE DOORS, with a new 25 minute opus, of course. Well, I would probably cry really hard, if I could see Janis and Big Brother ... and specially hearing that guitar in Ball and Chain. Take a hint Steve Howe!

Maybe the flavor for all these bands listed, has gone out for me, although Peter Hammill (or VdGG) is probably the one thing I would love to see in my life ... that I will never see, or have the chance to say ... thank you  ... to Peter for his invaluable help and lessons in so much of my life! The only other one I feel this way about is Vangelis ... and it's got so bad that even the "special" about him, has not been finished or released ... so we will never really get to know the artist behind all that music. One way to not fall prey to the commercial bs, I guess!

Floyd wth Waters happened in 2005 and I think both Gilmour and Mason guested on at least one show each of the last The Wall tour.
The most unlikely to happen is Peter Gabriel because he wouldn't find Genesis around. Yes is so dynamic that I wouldn't be surprised if Jon and Rick would come back like they did already in the 90s.

I thought maybe Black Sabbath with Bill Ward would be on here. ;) Out of these maybe Wakeman and Anderson. Pink Floyd did reunite with Gilmour and Waters so not sure why that has so many votes. A Barre and Anderson reunion seems pretty unlikely too.

The Mahavishnu Orchestra.  All the original members are still alive and have performed in different capacities over the years.  But I'd bet I'd hit the lottery before they ever got back together.  Even if it were just a small coffee house session.

Robert Wyatt with whatever is calling itself Soft Machine now!
Voted for Gabriel and Genesis.
With Yes I think one of the other in the poll would have to die before either seriously had a desire to rejoin the band.

As much as I am a big Yes fan it pains me to vote for them but that's how I feel. Apparently Rick has said that he would never consider rejoining as long as Steve is in the band or something to that effect. Floyd won't happen because RW(the other Floyd RW)is no longer with us and David Gilmour isn't up to it(he said that ship has sailed) but I still think the YEs reunion is more unlikely. Pink Floyd at least reunited for Live8. So unfortunately I will never see PF. I had a ticket in high school but like a dummy I sold it. I did see Roger Waters a couple of years ago though which was great. Yes on the other hand I have seen about 10 times(plus ABWH and only twice without Jon Anderson) so I'm good.

Not here but i'd guess Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, ELP, The Cars and The Doors are definitely never going to reunite the original lineups

Out of all the possible prog groups that could reunite and really pull off a decent new album, this would be my choice. As far as i know, all members are still able to play fairly well

From this list I'd pick Genesis and Peter Gabriel. Yes and Anderson/Wakeman have reunited before and even Gilmour and Waters may have the will to smoke the calumet one day.

Actually, I'm in line with Hugh and Iain and I want to throw Thunderclap Newman in the ring

Good one, I'd like that. Wyatt is officially retired though, I think I've heard. "Whatever is calling itself Soft Machine now" is pretty cool even without Wyatt.

Kind of hard to do when one or more of the original members is no longer living. Wink

Still more likely than a reunion with Wakeman and Howe.

I'm a little surprised that Floyd is coming out 'top' unless I'm not just aware of any recent developments. Waters seems to have been very contrite about his silly behaviour generally so I can a possibility of a mini reunion although I realise that Gilmour isn't really up for it.

I voted Genesis assuming this also includes Steve Hackett . Hackett and Banks still don't appear to me to want to work together at all while Collins is physically incapable of playing drums anymore. Gabriel though I believe is open minded to it so perhaps that's why people think it's possible.

But even if Oasis get back, Liam just won't be the same sound, as I think even he probably knows himself!

None of the listed reunions seem very likely, to me, tho I am not really all that of an expert on those bands, so don't have all the relevant facts at my disposal, to be honest.

With painful honesty, for me, the least likely reunion in prog would be, you guessed it, Triumvirat. Main man, keyboardist/composer/producer Juergen Fritz is still alive and making music, but has distanced himself from anything Triumvirat related for quite some time, and quite frankly, is content that way. Hasn't lifted a finger in the cause of classic T'rat in decades,  and other Triumvirat members still alive have not been really involved with him musically for a very long time, so a collaboration as Triumvirat  I don't think is in the cards. And Helmut Koellen is in his grave. Someone on the net remarked, "when Helmut left Triumvirat, so did their career". Sadly, there is some truth to that assertion.

All of these are nearly impssible to happen, but if I was to pick one, I would say Genesis/Peter Gabriel, Though Ian Anderso (Jetrho Tull)/Martine Barre is also quite an impossible fact.

Good points!  At least Peter & the rest of the band seem to be getting along better than they have in the past. Peter says that he would not be able to perform old material due to changes in his voice, but perhaps they have some grand artistic vision - film, soundtrack or something.

I think the likelihood of Yes reconciling is "hell freezes over" territory.  Howe seems content to drag the twitching corpse of Yes around the world, which is his right I suppose.  However, there is nothing they are doing that interests me in the least.

With Collins unable to play drums it seems impossible that the good old Genesis most people want could tour.
Not to mention that PG voice would struggle a lot on 70's material.
