ELP - Karn Evil 9
Genesis - Suppers Ready
Yes - Gates of Delirium
Tull - Aqualung
Floyd - Time
Crimson - Cirkus

the only tricky choice was Crimson. They have so many classic tracks but nothing that is obviously head and shoulders above the rest

Thanks for reminding me about "Lucky Man". I'll choose that as my favourite, seeing as that's the only ELP song I really know. Smile

Me too! LOL

But seriously,

Genesis - The Knife (Hard one for me, could be "Supper's Ready too...)
Yes - Awaken (Or Close to the edge, I love both)
King Crimson - Lizard (Or Starless, both are masterpieces)
Pink Floyd - Echoes
Jethro Tull - Taab part 1, (not the biggest fan of Tull honestly but I really like TaaB)
ELP - Tarkus!!

And I'm deeply sorry for the alternative choises.

Dancing with the Moonlit Knight - Gates of Delirium - Echoes (wins the price for the best of the best big 6 tracks) - Industry - Dun Ringill - Take a Pebble
Went for extreme outsider choices of KC and Tull because of both of these I love about 5-10 equally. Could also have nominated Starless and Aqualung but wanted to have more fun.

sexcellent choices darling Beer

pre-Dull Tull- With You there to help me..

the best thing they ever did IMO..

Floyd - God that is tough...  hate to do it.. and not chose Cymbaline.. but have to give it up to Us and Them.  Pure perfection there.

Yes - The Ancient

Genesis - Cinema Show

KC - Indiscipline

ELP - coin flip between Toccata and The Barbarian. For pure perfection..  giving it to Toccata today. Only ELP could have pulled that piece off...

^ Yeah, Home by the Sea may not be a very obvious choice for Genesis, but it's still a great song... perhaps the best from the Collins era, and proggy enough for me... a great example of a really 80's sounding prog song, evolving with the sound of music of the time while keeping some prog elements (mostly the long instrumental passage, actually), instead of desperatley trying to remain in the 70's.
