Two amazing albums with one of a kind atmosphere. Which one you prefer and why? I really like both but I think Harmonium takes the cake for me, maybe my alltime favourite album from Canada...

Well, Harmonium is extremely accessible, while Gryphon is really an acquired taste. 20 years passed between my discovery of these two albums: I eagerly waited for 5è Saison and bought it the day it was released, and I discovered (and WTF'ed at first... and at second
 ) on RQTG3 in the mid-90's |

Gryphon is more of an interesting listen than a really enjoyable for me. Almost never make it to the second side of the vinyl. Harmonium is a nice album (especially the first side) and extremely well recorded. ------------- I'm guitarist and songwriter for the prog-related band Mother Bass. Gryphon's is a really good 4* album. Harmonium's is 3* and frankly not in the same league. ------------- A TVR is not a car. It's a way of life. |

That Harmonium is in my top 5 of all time. The Gryphon is good too, but Harmonium is just music not of this world. ------------- The sun has left the sky... ...Now you can close your eyes |

I'm only familiar with Gryphon's album, having reviewed it recently, so I'll have to defer my vote until I've heard Harmonium's album too.
