Born in Plymouth, England in the 60s, Michael J Bolton has been active as a musician since leaving school at age 16. After starting as a guitarist, he was concentrating on the electric bass in 1979. Since then, he was playing in a number of jazz-rock and progressive rock bands.

Yes - he’s a bassist, and Fusion can be so tasteful and technical at the same time. Wouldn’t hurt to include him here. I just saw Michael Bolton and thought of that 80’s mullet guy who sings like he’s choking on a potato.....

off topic, but in 1979-1980 Michael then Bolotin was in a hard rock band with Bruce Kulick (later on in Kiss) called Blackjack, very decent stuff. Big smile
