Can we PLEASE adopt a system, wheter its a proglevel system or a percentage progometer system, so that we can classify badns and we dont have to fight over whether a band is prog or not. When a new band is proposed, the mods or whoever decide how much prog they are, and that is listed along with the country, subgenre and such. So the mods will put whether a band is only a little prog, all out prog, or somewhere in between( they can come up with a system such as my Prog Level system, or a percent based Prog-o-meter) This wouyld give room for bands that have been debatably put it such as Queen, Radiohead-Styx,Blue OysterCult ect.. I think its a graet idea and addition to our archives. tell me what you think ------------- I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t. -Stone Beard |

Thats what i mean, we all trust the mods, and the runners of the world's greatest archive for prog music! they SHOULD be sugestive! they should be the ones putting their foot down and drawing out the lines of what prog is. also, though it might be slightly difficult to impliment, it would be worth it! This would clear up all poblems about proto- prog,. and pseudo prog ect... It would open the doors to all bands that contributed to prog even if they werent completly prog. and thats what this site NEEDS in order to remain the worlds greatest and most prestigueos progressive music archive The site needs to be PROGRESSIVE, and innovate itself , and this is the best way ------------- I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t. -Stone Beard |
