TOP 20 RUSH Songs - #6 This is the new, long distance project ON A MISSION - to determine consensus 20 Best Rush Songs  As determined in http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=124241" rel="nofollow - this preliminary thread, we are using a method already tested in a similar http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=124211" rel="nofollow - Genesis Project . Every participant names three songs in order of preference: First song = 4.5 points Second song = 3 points Third song = 2 points After a couple of days I add up your "points" and announce the winning song for a current spot. Then we move on and vote for the next spot. All points are reset. Our goal is to come up with 20 songs and hopefully get it done before Christmas  Voting is closed. No. 6 song is YYZ 1. YYZ. 21.5 pts 2. Freewill. 17.0 pts 3. Cygnus X-1 Book I: The Voyage. 13.5 pts 4. This time I'll vote for: 1. Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres 2. Red Barchetta 3. A Farewell to Kings I'm deeply convinced all three belong in top 10. A Farewell to Kings is a terrific song with extremely catchy riffage and grand atmosphere; it's comfortably my 2nd favorite tune on that fantastic album. Also, when I started listening to Rush years ago, AFTK was my favorite, so nostalgia with this thing is real!
