Santa Sabina was a Mexican band that started its career in the early 90's. The band's original line-up was Rita GUERRERO (vocals), Alfonso FIGUEROA (bass), Pablo VALERO (guitar), Patricio IGLESIAS (drums) and Jacobo LIEBERMAN (keyboards). The band's music is very eclectic: their influences include middle eastern and hindu music mixed with hard rock, jazz and even avant-garde.

The second album of the band was produced by KING CRIMSON's frontman Adrian BELEW, he actually played guitar in some tracks of the album and that gave SANTA SABINA the chance to be the opening act in the shows KING CRIMSON gave in Mexico City in 1996.

The band published 5 studio albums from 1992 until 2003 among some very interesting live albums. Vocalist Rita GUERRERO died in 2011 and the rest of the band had reunited in several occasions.

No answers yet, huh? Well, here is an amazing live performance of Santa Sabina to bring the topic back.

I'm not sure what exactly happened. The reason will surely also be that this band can't be easily assigned to the progressive rock genre

now listening to their stuff, really exciting band indeed

I'm not pretty sure of the sub-genre, if it is not Crossover it would probably fit in Eclectic or at least Prog-Related. I hope you don't reject them so easily.

Sorry I missed them. Will alert Team but let us take time please.

Anyway, some collabs in Team cannot use Spotify (I'm not fond of it either).
We will be happy if you can send me one of their albums via a sharing website or let me know listener-friendly links like Bandcamp or Soundcloud.

EDIT: Please PM me if you can share an album, not post here.
