Tough call between Wilson and B&B.

Going the latter this time.

This is the toughest one yet - by far! There’s definitely several there fairly equal in my affections. I’ve given it to Opeth, but that’s really not particularly fair as that album doesn’t stand out any more than the other of my favourites from this list. Just a snap decision, or I might never make a decision at all! 😄🤪

Some good ones here! I'm a bit under the spell of the gutsy "change in direction" Pendragon orchestrated with Pure, so I'm giving it my vote.

Oh wow! Didn't expect 'Pure' to be in the lead just after 12 hours. Especially when we have Opeth, Wilson, Beardfish and Cynic.

Bit out of character for me to be the first Steve Wilson voter.

Honorable mentions are always very welcome, I will check these albums out because I haven't heard any of them.

Keeping just to what is in the PA database, and removing any albums which feature in your poll, what’s left on my iPod from 2008 (in alphabetical order) is:

(NB it’s perhaps not the most reliable or accurate of methods, but what’s on my iPod from years past are likely to be my favourites from that year, simply because I can fit everything in there. Also, it’s assuming all the years are correctly entered in the metadata.)

I'm surprised 'Watershed' has just 2 votes so far. It's one of the really exciting Opeth albums.

Blomljud, it's just so beautiful....

But, where is The Tall Ships by It Bites? Fabulous album from a band who hadn't released one in nearly 20 years. Would be a struggle to pick between these 2....
