Hybris without a single doubt.

Two VERY different albums. Hard to compare at all. Not sure I can really make this choice. Hybris is the best 1992 prog album IMO while Per un amico isn't quite top of 1972; however, it only falls below Thick as a Brick, Close to the Edge, and Foxtrot, AKA three of the greatest prog albums ever released.
I abstain, AKA vote "Both equally".

I much prefer Storia di in minuto and L'isola di niente to Per un Amico, but I still like PuA. As for Hybris, I used to love it but went off it. Perhaps I should revisit as I haven't listened to it in a very long time.
I would consider both to be essential listening to the well-rounded Progger. Won't vote at this time, maybe I'll dig out Hybris again sometime. Interesting albums to compare.

I like both, but I like PFM more. The only reason I had to pause a little before voting for PFM, is the choice of album. Had it been Storia or Isola, there would have been no hesitation at all!

Per Un Amico. Hybris is fine but never truly grabbed me.

Interesting pairing. Two for good reason highly appreciated albums, but also two albums which don't relate very well to me personally. I'll go for PFM just about.

Interesting duo. I like both, but I think I prefer Hybris because is more original, almost a unique album. It has all I love in prog.

both equally
lush well crafted prog that challenges the idea of prog being a UK thing. certainly both would be in my top 30 favourite prog albums.

I never really got into Änglagård but have always loved PFM...so there you go. Lots of modern Scandinavian prog that tickles my fancy. Änglagård though sounds a little ‘cold’ for my liking.

It almost is. There's a little bit of singing in Swedish towards the end but not much.

Would you care to give some examples of modern Scandinavian prog that tickles your fancy?

Hybris doesn't respond to me on the same emotional level as Per Un Amico does.

After seeing the vote overwhelmingly in favour of "PFM - Per Un Amico", I decided to listen to this album to see why it is so popular compared to "Anglagard - Hybris". This is quite an interesting album. I now understand why it is so popular.

I have yet not understood why that album, and the band in general, is so very popular. I find it a nice listen, but not something I really love. I much prefer Banco, or the albums YS or Inferno (from Metamorfosi), or Zarathustra.
