since there is the both option, I'll take the easy way out. EmbarrassedLOL

Love both, but Dogs cannot offer Echoes enough contest.

Definitely Dogs. Echoes is cool and all, but Dogs is where it's at!

Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

Echoes is the best thing Floyd ever did. Dogs is very good, though.

Echoes. No contest.

Echoes. That means Dogs is dragged down by the stone to the top ten anyway though. My favorite thing on Animals is probably Pigs, but my favorite moment is probably that keyboard solo on Sheep.

Echoes, but maybe these are Pink Floyd's tracks no. 1 and 2 (that means sky high in any general tracks ranking).

I felt sort of uncomfortable the first time I listened to Dogs. I listened to it again and liked it. I still feel sort of hesitant listening to it, since it is 17 minutes long although I could sit through Nine Feet Underground or Suppers Ready any day of the week.

It's a dark and foreboding song, perhaps one of the most cynical in prog history. You may just need more time with it.

I took the easy way out also. I was tempted to vote for Dogs because of the spacey synth middle section but echoes has that great screechy spooky thing going on. Anyway, a tie for me so I voted both.

Yeah, but Van Der Graaf Generator sounding very dark as well. I love Peter's singing on the records.

VDGG I find has a weirdness factor which lightens the mood, even just a little bit. The same way a dark cartoon will still be somewhat inviting because cartoons are naturally inviting. Pink Floyd are very into realism and psychological horror.

I usually dislike and avoid the both options... but in this case I guess I'll have to use it.

I can't split them. Of the two albums I prefer Meddle.

I'd be barking up the wrong tree with Dogs, so my vote goes to Echoes - either live at Pompeii or the Crystal Voyager surfer  version. Smile

Dogs gets my vote. The middle section of Echos with all the white noise drags on way to long.

Dogs is awesome but Echoes is a masterpiece.

Theses two awesome Floyd tracks are both absolute favourites of mine. But Echoes as the edge in this poll.

My two favourite Pink Floyd tracks. But I do prefer Echoes.

Anyone see Nick Mason do 'Echoes' on his current tour?  It's better than the original!!

Both are great but I like Echoes (live at Pompei version) more

There is an edited version on "Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd" that cuts out that middle section.

On the live version on "A Night to Remember" it's fascinating watching that middle section being reproduced.

Anyway, "Echoes" is my favorite Floyd track and one of my top ten favorite tracks by anybody.
